On August 10 the Open Doors Hub programme concluded, with the announcement of winners after five days of activity
On August 10 the Open Doors Hub programme concluded, with the announcement of winners after five days of activity for eight emerging producers, says a press release. The 2016 edition sees the launch of a three-year cycle that Open Doors will devote to eight countries in southern Asia: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The prizes conferred aims to support production and development.
The winners are: the winner of a Production Grant (30,000 CHF) is “Day after Tomorrow” by Kamar Ahmad Simon, Bangladesh; Production Grant (20,000 CHF) “The Red Phallus” by Tashi Gyeltshen, Bhutan; CNC Prize (8,000 Euro) “Season of Dragonflies (Jhyalincha)” by Abinash Bikram Shah, Nepal.
