‘Made in Bangladesh’ at BFI London Film Festival
Following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this September, Rubaiyat Hossain’s Made in Bangladesh will have its European premiere in the 63rd BFI London Film Festival, to be held from October 2 to 13.
Made in Bangladesh will feature in the Debate section of the festival where films by François Ozon, Alex Gibney, Terrence Malick, Scott Z Burns, Ciro Guerra and other notable filmmakers will be screened as well.

The film is Rubaiyat’s third directorial venture. It is a co-production of Bangladesh, France, Denmark and Portugal. Khona Talkies (Bangladesh) and Les Films de l’Après-Midi (France) produced the film, while Beofilm (Denmark), Midas Films (Portugal) and Cinema Cocoon (Bangladesh) are the co-producers.
The main cast of the film includes Rikita Nandini Shimu, Deepanwita Martin, Mayabe Rahman, Novera Rahman and Parvin Paru, among others.
