Mehazabien starrer ad praised for concept

An ad film for Bengal Classic Tea starring actor Mehazabien was recently shot in London, and was widely praised upon release for its simple, but heartwarming concept. Directed by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki, the ad sees Mehazabien portray a young girl who has just moved into a house with an elderly lady as paying guest. Initially indifferent to the young girl, she eventually warms up to her when she is offered tea in a kind gesture by Mehazabien's character. The simplicity of the concept and pitch-perfect execution was a throwback to the golden era of Bangladeshi catchy advertisements, complete with a memorable dialogue: “In our country, one doesn't need to ask for tea, we simply share.” Sheikh Rajibul Islam was the DOP of the film.
