Having recently crossed 19 million views organically, Minar's "Keu Kotha Rakheni" is one of the most astounding success stories for a song that has been released from a personal YouTube channel. The singer-songwriter and talented artist talks about his super-hit song, as well as future plans heading into 2021.

"Keu Kotha Rakheni" has been remarkable in terms of reception by the audience. How happy are you with its success?

The song has indeed been one of the remarkable ones of 2020. You have to bear in mind that this was not released under any banner's YouTube channel, nor was it boosted artificially. It was only the people's widespread acceptance that made the song what it is today, and I am grateful for it.

What was your philosophy behind the beautiful lyrics of the song?

We all born alone and we all have to leave alone – with only a few memories and moments to recall in the end. Only some will be there forever, and others will be remembered by the winds that blow in our direction – reminding us of whom we used to share a path with.

How do you manage to write lyrics that are so deep?

As a songwriter, I have always liked to make observations. I've been doing so from a young age – I wrote 'Shada' when I was only 14  years old, and 'Ahare' when I was 19. When I am playing my keyboard, all those observations come to life -- and that is how the songs are made.

What new releases await us this year?

There will be many surprises for listeners, amongst which are songs titled "Klanto", "Jar Khao Go Noon" and "Obhimani". I am also working on an animated music video, for which I drew the template myself.
