Munier Chowdhury and Zakaria Memorial Award conferred at BSA

Theatre troupe Theatre organised the Munier Chowdhury and Zakaria Memorial Award recently at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, on the occasion of 83rd birth anniversary of Bangladeshi educationist, playwright and intellectual Munier Chowdhury.

Indian researcher Devajit Bandyopadhyay received the Munier Chowdhury Award and BDT 50,000. On the other hand, director and actor Pantha Shahriar received the Mohammad Zakaria Memorial Award and BDT 25,000.

The welcome speech was delivered by Ramendu Majumdar at the event, presided over by Ferdousi Majumdar. Syed Manzoorul Islam was the honourary guest of the event.
