New issue of 'DOT' launched
The issue 4, Volume 3 of DOT, the only international standard art and architecture magazine of the country was launched recently at the Department of Architecture, BUET. Twelve consecutive issues of this quarterly have been published since its inception in September 2015. The concluding issue of volume 3 was unveiled at a ceremony in presence of the students, faculty members and other eminent individuals in the field of art and architecture. As part of its regular events, the ceremony also included the 11th cycle of “Shah Cement DOT Student Design Awards” distribution among the winners.
Delvistaa Foundation endeavours the publishing of a specialised magazine of this stature regularly that showcases the commendable works of art and architecture of the country to record and bring forward their expertise under the editorship of renowned architect and artist Mustapha Khalid Palash.
In his speech, Palash urged the policy makers to initiate enhancement of the quality of urban life that really simulates with the necessity and demands. Among others, Professor Dr Khandaker Shabbir Ahmed, Head, Dept. of Architecture, BUET, Professor Dr Kazi Azizul Mowla, Associate Professor Architect Nazmul Imam, renowned artist Kanak Chanpa Chakma and Brand Manager of Shah Cement Ltd Tasnuva Haider expressed their best wishes to DOT and its team for undertaking such challenging efforts. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks from the General Secretary of Delvistaa Foundation Architect Shahzia Islam Anton. The programme was conducted by Architect Rezaur Rahman.
