Auction 4 Auction, a newly formed charity organisation, took an initiative to stand beside those who are affected the most by the coronavirus pandemic. Prolific photographer Prito Reza and activist Arif R Hossain came up with the idea of a charity auction for fundraising. To begin with, ace cricketer Shakib Al Hasan donated his World Cup 2019 bat for the auction, which was sold at BDT 20 lakhs.

Celebrated singer turned actor Tahsan Khan has put up some splendid offers for the cause. "Charity auctions are still not commonly practiced in our country," said Tahsan. "I'm happy that different celebrities have come together for this cause. I have put up a few things that I think will be priceless for someone who has admired my work, since the beginning of my career. I have included the original master Digital Audio Tape (DAT) of my first solo album Kothopokothon and the first handwritten lyric of the hit track, Irsha, from the album."

He also added that the highest bidder, along with three of their friends, will be invited to his home for an unplugged piano show, once the current crisis is under control. The bids for the auction started with BDT 5 lakhs. It will end today at 11 pm on the Facebook page of Auction4Auction. The collected amount will be donated to BRAC's COVID-19 fund.

As of now, around 36 artistes, including Asaduzzaman Noor, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Miles, James, Sharmin Sultana Sumi, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Mosharraf Karim and Nuhash Humayun among others, are set to join the auction, with interesting offers for their fans.
