Popular singer Shahed in ICU

Popular singer-songwriter Shaikh Shahed Ali Khan is undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital in the capital. Ershadul Huq Tinku, Shahed's friend and CEO of Cool Exposure Communications, confirmed the news.

He was suffering from electrolyte imbalance in his body, and admitted to the hospital yesterday when his condition deteriorated.

"The doctors in the ICU are doing their best to help him, and his condition is now improving", said Tinku to The Daily Star. He also added that Shahed was found COVID-19 negative in tests.

Shahed became famous for his song Rokzana in 2003. After his debut with a self-titled album in 1991, he released Chilekotha' (1995), Gaan Neben Gaan (2003) and Class Roomey Boshe Shekha (2008).
