Indira Gandhi Culture Centre is to organise a solo art exhibition of Priti Ali, titled “Power of Pain & Pathos”. The inaugural ceremony will be today at 6.30 pm at the IGCC, Gulshan-1 premises.

Dr. Gowher Rizvi, International Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister; Harsh Vardhan Shringla, High Commissioner of India; Wanja Campos da Nobrega, Ambassador of Brazil and eminent artist Monirul Islam will grace the occasion and jointly inaugurate the exhibition.

Priti Ali focuses on love, hate, joy, melancholy, dream, sorrow, solitude and suffering in her works. These have no visual forms, figures or shapes in particular but inherent subdued perceptions to be felt by the heart. Priti has expressed these formless conjectures in other ways with the help of geometric patterns, seven colors of the visible spectrum, tones and textures. In this exhibition, Priti has skillfully shown the profound human subjective expressions through her brilliant artistic creations.

Priti is an Art Teacher at Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC), High Commission of India in Dhaka.

The exhibition will remain open till March 31.
