Razzak in new tele-film
Nayak Raj Razzak has taken his time off from films in recent years, but is seen on and off in TV plays. His latest venture for TV is “Chairman er Choritro Phooler Moto Pobitro”, directed by his son Samrat (who is also acting in it) and written by Rana Zakaria.
Razzak recently wrapped up filming for the tele-film in Gazipur. In the play, he portrays a former chairman, while his son Samrat appears as the current chairman.
Razzak's last work for TV was titled “Daybhar”, which was broadcast on Channel i. “Chairman er Choritro Phooler Moto Pobitro” will also air on the same channel.
“I work on TV projects as a hobby,” Razzak told The Daily Star. “It's quite nice to be working under my own son's direction,” he added.
Samrat, meanwhile said, “It's fantastic to direct my father in a play, and to get screen time alongside him was a great experience.”
Razzak's last work for the big screen was “Kartuz”, which was directed by his other son, actor-director Bappa Raj. He hasn't signed any films since falling seriously ill last year.
