The Revenant coming to Star Cineplex

Academy-Award winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu's latest film has won Best Picture Award at the Golden Globes 2016. The film is also leading Oscar nominations, with a staggering 12 nominations including  Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson, Forrest Goodluck and Will Poulter, “The Revenant”centres on an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness by legendary explorer Hugh Glass (DiCaprio). In the expedition Glass is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption. 

Inspired by true events, the film has been enytirely shot in natural light. It is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man's epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit.
