Salim Khan of Sangeeta passes away with Covid-19
Salim Khan, the proprietor of Sangeeta, a well-known audio production company in the country, passed away at the age of 55, at 7 am today. He was undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at Impulse Hospital in Dhaka.
Robin Imran, CEO of Sangeeta, spoke to The Daily Star. "Salim Khan had been undergoing treatment at Impulse Hospital since December 4, after testing positive for Covid-19. He was put on life support on December 9, as his condition deteriorated," he shared.
The news of the music director's death has been confirmed by SK Shahed Ali Pappu, Secretary General of the MIB, an association of music producers.
"Salim Khan's Janazah will be held in front of his residence in Laxmi Bazar of the capital after Asr today. He will later be laid to rest at Jurain Graveyard," mentioned Robin Imran.
Sangeeta was established in the 1980s under Salim Khan. Many popular songs have been produced by the company.
