A live programme was held on the Facebook page of Shobdogolpo, commemorating music legend Ayub Banchchu's 58th birthday.

The programme was hosted by Shamim Ahmed, former sound engineer, LRB. Abdul Wazed Charu, renowned audio professional, Moin Uddin Rashed, sound engineer, Foiz Sagor, sound engineer of the band Chirkutt, Naquib Khan, Massud, member of LRB, Kinjal Bhattacharya from West Bengal, Jaedi Sajib and Shahid Mahmud Jangi were the guests of the event.

The guests shared their memorable moments with Ayub Bachchu. "During the 70s, when Bachchu was a school student, one day, he came to Shilpakala, where we used to rehearse for our performances. He told me that he plays guitar and tries to sing. I gave him the song Harano Bikeler Golpo. Later, he said on television that it was the first ever song that he sang," shared Shahid Mahmud Jangi.

In between the live programme, a series of videos sent by renowned musicians, including Foad Nasser Babu, Kumar Biswajit, the band, Dalchhut, Ehsan Elahi Fanti, drummer of the band Nagorbaul, music personality Jewel, singers Mehreen, Elita Karim and Shuvo, among others, were shown. They shared their fond memories of the legend, and sent their wishes for him on the special day.

As the programme progressed with discussions on music and favourite moments with Ayub Bachchu, special messages from his family, friends, former coworkers and fans from all over the world, were also shared. Ayub Bachchu has left behind millions of fans who will always remember him fondly.
