Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor, who played a host of sports in school, from football, basketball and handball to long jump, is finally set to put all that extensive practice to good use. The 30-year-old actress began off preparation for writer-filmmaker Amole Gupte's biopic on Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal.

While speaking to Mumbai Mirror a month ago, Shraddha had shared: “I'm sure it's going to be my most difficult film yet, as Saina has spent her whole life playing badminton and in the next few months, I have to get close to the standards she's set.” The actress, who recently wrapped up shooting for Apoorva Lakhia's Haseena Parkar biopic, had also revealed that she plans to spend a lot of time with Saina to learn everything about her as part of her prep.

Meanwhile, Amole's prep for the Bhushan Kumar-produced film has been just as extensive. After spending a year-and-a-half on research, flitting between Mumbai and Hyderabad, Saina's hometown, Amole had told Mirror, “Besides meeting Saina's close associates, I gathered videos of her to understand her personality. I've also been to the National Sports Club of India (NSCI) to watch her play.”
