Soumitra Chatterjee shifted to ITU as Covid-19 symptoms worsen

Eminent Indian film actor Soumitra Chatterjee, who recently tested positive for the coronavirus and was admitted to a private hospital in south Kolkata, has been shifted to Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU).

According to latest reports, he has been shifted to the ITU of the hospital for close monitoring, after experiencing restlessness and reaching an accute confusional stage.

"He suffers from several co-morbidities, that's why we need to be more careful," a doctor at the hospital told Indian media.

Chatterjee was hospitalised on October 6 after he tested positive for Covid-19.
