‘Srabondhara’ held in Moulvibazar

This program was organised by Rabirashmi, an organisation that promotes music in Moulvibazar. They performed a musical gathering titled Srabondhara.

Songs of the monsoon were performed in the Borsha Biday (farewell to rainy season) program held in Saifur Rahman Auditorium in Moulvibazar on Friday night.

Moulvibazar Municipal Mayor Fazlur Rahman, playwright Abdul Matin among many others spoke in the inaugural session.

Moulvibazar Municipal Mayor Fazlur Rahman said, “We need to promote harmony by eliminating the darkness of communalism. Rabindranath symbolizes Bengali nationalism. Thus, we should take inspiration from Tagore to initiate the movement to unify our communities.”

The speakers stressed the need to study Tagore for removing the ills from society and our day-to-day lives.

The program featured songs, recitations and dance performances by various artists including a special Raslila dance, a traditional essence of the Manipuri community.
