Star Melodies to present ‘Shornojuger Paanch Sabyasachi Sangeet Shroshtha’r Gaan’

Star Melodies, an initiative of The Daily Star to promote Bangla music, will host a special musical evening, titled Shornojuger Paanch Sabyasachi Sangeet Shroshtha’r Gaan.

The programme will highlight songs by the legendary lyricists and composers of the 50s, 60s and 70s, such as Salil Chowdhury, Khan Ataur Rahman, Sudhin Dasgupta, Prabir Majumdar and Jatileswar Mukhopadhyay. The event will be held on November 30 (Saturday) at 6 pm at The Daily Star Centre (64-65 Kazi Nazrul Islam Ave, Dhaka – 1215). Noted artistes Rumana Islam, Sumon Majumdar, Mohammed Rashed and Tanjina Karim Sharalipi will perform at the event.

Sadya Afreen Mallick, Chief, Culture Initiatives, The Daily Star, will host the programme. Invitation passes can be collected from The Daily Star Centre. Seats are limited. The programme will be sponsored by Dhaka Bank limited.
