The Star-studded Super Chef Kitchen

These are exciting times at the Super Chef kitchen! It is being the host to various celebrities, both from here and abroad. Australian MaserChef Emma Dean, to illustrate, delighted audience for a couple of days. And then, in the beginning of this week, renowned singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya graced the Super Chef Kitchen.
Rezwana Choudhury Bannya is a household name in our country, with her Tagore songs being extremely popular among everyone. Therefore, when she took her seat in the judges' panel, it was not surprising that she was requested to sing. And she did sing - a moment of relish before the culinary battle began.
And battle it was indeed. The challenge was to present a platter in front of the judges that comprised of rice, lentils, vegetables and protein. So, the last episode was all about going 'deshi', for the love of Bangladeshi cuisine.
At first glance, it seemed a rather easy task. It was, after all, something that the contestants are very familiar with; there must have been a comfort zone somewhere. But then again, the household kitchen and Super Chef Kitchen are two very different places.
Here, there is the pressure of time and the anxiety of impressing the judges. Here, a little mistake may prove fatal.
Masum Ahmed, for example, made something extremely ordinary that lacked innovation, thus throwing him under the judges' criticism. On the contrary, Lovely topped the round with her creative and distinctive dish. In the end of the day, it was Nizamul who bade farewell. Although he was a strong contender, he failed to manage time properly, and the result was reflected on the dish and consequently on the scorecard. One hour and thirty minutes were allotted for the task, and Nizamul should have planned accordingly.
Tonight, Rupchanda-The Daily Star Super Chef 2016 has invited yet another star: Sharmin Nahar Lucky. Most of us know her from the popular cooking show, Siddiqa Kabir's Recipe. She is no stranger to food tasting and the culinary world. But tonight, she is not just going to taste food, but also score them.
The 30-minute challenge that would be thrown tonight is to prepare a dish that most of us have in our homes right now. It's a very common thing to be found in the Bangladeshi household; but it's preparation requires the utmost skill - and experience, with the grandmother in the house often being reputed to make it the most perfectly.
Therefore, tonight's task is by no means a simple one. And of course, it goes without saying that one of the contestants will need to leave the kitchen tonight.
Enough spoilers given! Glue yourself in front of the television to enjoy tonight's episode.
