Swagota turns film director

Multi-talented actress Swagota is famed as a popular singer as well. Aside from doing a number of films, Swagota regularly hosts television shows and does television commercials.

The actress recently ventured into direction for her university thesis.

Swagota finished shooting her first film “Durotto”. The film has been made as part of her university thesis. She is studying film and media at Stamford University.

The film casts Dilara Zaman, Laila Hasan, Hasan Imam, Shyamol and others.

However, Swagota is not yet sure about the release of this film.

About her direction, the actress said, “Initially I didn't want to be an actress, as I was more interested in direction. Eventually I ended up becoming an actress.”

On the other hand, she has a busy shooting schedule. A number of Swagota-starrer drama serials are on air on different satellite channels.
