Tisha plays a genie

Popular actress Tisha acts in a new TV play titled “Jim and Genie”. Written by Rupantar, the play is to be aired on Boishakhi TV on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

Tisha dons the role of Genie in the play, directed by Muntasir Bipon. Shatabdi Wadud is Tisha's co-star. Mukul Siraj acts in the play, among others.

Tisha appears in the play in various guises -- an ordinary girl against an exotic Arabian backdrop, set in a time far from the present. “The story of Jim and Genie is beautiful and I feel really happy with my role,” said Tisha.

The play is about a youth who stumbles upon a magical bottle from which a girl –Genie--emerges. The youth then asks the girl to fulfill his three wishes. The genie agrees and events unfold from that point on.

 Muntasir Bipon describes the play as “romantic fantasy.”
