All TV shoots were halted due to the coronavirus pandemic from March 22. The television associations, including Actors' Equity Bangladesh, Directors' Guild and Television and Digital Programme Producers Association Bangladesh, have unanimously decided to resume shootings of all productions from today.

"This was a unanimous decision and we will follow the government's orders, while carrying on with our productions," said Salahuddin Lavlu, President of Directors' Guild.

Several precautionary measures will be taken during shoots. For now, all outdoor shootings are cancelled, and no intimate scenes will be shot. A minimum distance of 3 ft will be maintained between the actors during shoots.

Moreover, only three people will be allowed to be in the shot together in one scene. The actors, crew members and pre-production team members will be selected based on their health conditions. Those who have a pre-existing health condition can be selected, after official approvals from their doctors.

The cast and crew members who will come to work will have to self-isolate at their homes for the next fourteen days, after a shoot.

The cast and crew members can wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during shoots. They also must practice hand-washing and maintain personal hygiene throughout the days. Wearing gloves and masks on the sets is mandatory. Temperatures of cast and crew members will be recorded, before they entire the shooting premises. Props will be cleaned using bleaching powder from time to time, and the sets will be rigorously disinfected.

"We agreed to resume shootings after ensuring proper hygiene and keeping the safety measures in mind," shared Shahiduzzaman Selim, President, Actors' Equity Bangladesh.
