Wacken Metal Battle 2020 kicks off today

For the second time, Wacken Metal Battle will be held as part of the battle of metal bands for the Indian Sub-Continent. The event will take place at Halloween Hall, Level 5, Jamuna Future Park, today. Presented by Valor, the winner of this competition will further compete with the winners of the countries—India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

One winning country will have the opportunity to represent the Sub-Continent at Wacken Open Air (WOA) 2020, the world's biggest metal concert.

This year, the five shortlisted bands from Bangladesh are -- Revolution, Torture Goregrinder, Roman Sacrifice, Thrash and Exenemy. There will be a special performance by Trainwreck, winners of last year's battle. Trainwreck went on to make history by being the first Bangladeshi band to perform in WOA. Severe Dimentia and Powersurge will also perform at the event.

 The programme, which is to be held in association with WOA, Wacken Metal Battle -Indian Subcontinent, Bangalore Open Air and Infinite Dreams Entertainment, will start at 2:30 pm. Tickets for the event can be purchased at BDT 300 at the venue.
