‘Wonder Woman 1984’ to release at Star Cineplex on Christmas
"Wonder Woman 1984", the sequel to 2017's "Wonder Woman" is set to hit Star Cineplex on December 25, in line with its US theatrical release. The film will arrive in the US on Christmas Day in select theatres as well as on HBO Max.
Star Cineplex is strictly following social distancing and hygiene guidelines after reopening in October with the releases of "Mulan" and "Tenet." They are selling 40 percent of the tickets for each show. The authorities are also encouraging online transactions rather than spot purchases of tickets.
"DC films usually generate a good response from our audience, so we are confident about Wonder Woman 1984, despite the restrictions induced by the pandemic," says Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Senior Manager of Media and Marketing, Star Cineplex.
Patty Jenkins returned to direct "Wonder Woman 1984", which brings back Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen, and introduces villains Cheetah and Maxwell Lord, played by Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal.
