Ongikar's “Ek Tara” at Shilpakala today

Ongikar Natya Dal will stage their play "Ek Tara" at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 6:30pm today. Sumona Kanjilal, journalist-writer and editor of Indian magazine Shananda has penned the script, while Ongikar's Rajib Reza has directed it.

The troupe is set to take the play to India, to stage it at Delhi Theatre Fest on March 15.

The story of "Ek Tara" revolves around a woman in a society around a hundred years ago. She grows up without her parents and gets involved in the showbiz at a young age. Her inner journey and struggles of life take the plot forward.

Upoma, Rajib Reza, Ratri, Bushra, Kabir, Rupak, Rehnuma, Saif, Apon and others are in the case.
