Theatre Murari Chand stages “Rang Mahal”

A stage play “Rang Mahal” was staged by Theatre Murari Chand of the Murari Chand College at Kabi Nazrul Auditorium, Sylhet on Friday afternoon. The drama is written by Rubayet Ahmed, and directed by Yakub Ali and Bidhan Singha.

A stage play "Rang Mahal" was staged by Theatre Murari Chand of the Murari Chand College at Kabi Nazrul Auditorium, Sylhet on Friday afternoon. The drama is written by Rubayet Ahmed, and directed by Yakub Ali and Bidhan Singha.

The story of the drama revolves around a conflict of Beauty and the Beast; it is the story of two blind beggars Rajab and Khusbu, who got blessed with the light into their eyes by a mysterious saint.

The play, based on a Netrokona dialect, represents life, conflict, dreams and heartbreak, and depicts the eternal search of humankind to achieve more.

Yakub Ali, director of the play said, praised the dedication of the performers, and expressed gratitude to all well wishers.
