Farah's mango madness

Popular face on television, Farah Ruma has many fond childhood memories of gorging on delicious mangoes. In a recent conversation with the correspondent, she said, “I spent my schooldays in Chittagong where my father was posted. At tiffin hour, we picked mangoes off the tree behind the backs of our teachers. This got us scoldings. Often we feasted on the mangoes without waiting for them to ripen. I still can't forget the mango madness.”
Although she is from Rajshahi, hailed as the land of mangoes, Farah lamented that she could not visit her native home in the peak mango season due to her busy schedule. “Fortunately my relatives send mangoes for us in Dhaka every year. My grandparents have already sent mangoes and hopefully we will get a few more consignments,” she said.
