“Ittyadi” on BTV tonight

“Ittyadi”, probably the most popular TV variety show in the country, will see the repeat telecast of its episode tonight on BTV and BTV World, following the 10pm news bulletin. Filmed at the picturesque Ansar Academy in Safipur, Gazipur, among the highlights of the episode are a documentary on Zakerul Islam Kayes, a Dhaka University student and supposedly the lone person in the subcontinent to have memorized the entire Charyapada (ancient script of Bengali literature); and a documentary on the contributions of Bangladesh's Ansar-VDP to be aired after the English News at 10 on BTV and BTV World.

Beside the regular skits and other segments, the programme will feature an orchestra with the participation of around 150 members of the Ansars and a song by noted singer Mina Borua from Gazipur.
