Mamunur Rashid elected as President of TPPAB

For the fifth consecutive term eminent thespian Mamunur Rashid has been elected as the President of Television Programme Producers Association of Bangladesh (TPPAB).

Monowar Hossain Pathan has been elected as the general secretary of the organisation. The election, held in every two years, has also formed a 27-member new executive committee. 

The election took place on 11 August at National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy where Mamunur Rashid was elected President without any competition. His name was announced by the chief election commission Dr. Enamul Haq.

Talking about the election, Mamunur Rashid told The Daily Star, “The organisation is very important to us. The core idea of this organisation is to bring every television activist under one umbrella to overcome all obstacles.”
