MITHILA'S Eid ventures

Mithila is a popular face on the small screen, as well as in the world of modeling. The artiste is gearing up for Eid with primarily new TV plays, a few of which have not completed filming. The actor has revealed that six or seven plays featuring her will be released during the holidays. The actor will also be seen in a commercial after two years.

Mithila is cast opposite Shajal in a play helmed by Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi. Mithila is also in another venture by the director, where she will be seen pairing up with Jon.

Mithila will be seen in two plays alongside popular actor Apurba, one of which is directed by Mizanur Rahman Aryan. “The holidays mean there are countless viewers in front of their TV screens, and so it gives me greater incentive to work in Eid ventures,” she said.

The actor was slated to appear in one episode of the “Aynabaji” series, for which filming was to take place in Kushtia. However, a sudden fever prevented Mithila from filming, and she said on a despondent note, “I had been especially looking forward to this venture, and it makes me feel terrible being unable to do it."

 The plays encompass a variety of genres, including serious dramas and lighthearted romance. Despite gaining popularity in the drama series “Housefull”, the actor is not performing in any series these days, focusing her energies on single episode plays and tele-films.

“I don't know if “Housefull” was a turning point in my career, but it was most definitely the most important event to have happened,” she stated.

The artiste shared that she intends to stay in the capital during Eid. She is yet to buy gifts for her family, but has already shopped for her daughter. “The holiday is all about my girl,” she said, “her happiness is mine.”
