Monalisa back to the country after two years

Popular model and actor Monalisa has come back to the country from the USA after a break of two years, and she already has work lined up.

The actor has plans to stay back for at least three months, and spend the Eid-ul Fitr here with her mother.

Talking to The Daily Star, Monalisa says: “It is really great to be back. I can't even express in words how I feel.” Asked what has been the best part of coming back after so long, she said “Meeting my mother and eating food cooked by her.”

The seasoned actor was in touch with TV directors before she came, and already has committed schedules for a number of Eid TV plays. “I am going to start working very soon,” she says. “I am open to doing TV commercials as well, if I get a good offer.”

Monalisa will celebrate Pahela Baishakh today with her colleagues from the entertainment industry, in a get-together of TV artistes at the Trust Auditorium that has become a bit of an annual tradition for actors.
