More wins for “Oggatonama”

“Oggatonama” stole the limelight once more, this time in Cambodia. The Asia Pacific Film Festival crowned the Impress Telefilms production “Best Film” among 54 submissions from 20 countries. Managing Director of Impress Telefilms and Channel i Faridur Reza Sagar was present to receive the award on behalf of director Tauquir Ahmed and the production team on July 30. The three day festival which began on July 28 took place in Phnom Penh's Garden City Hotel.
Present among the guests were noted entrepreneur Kona Reza and director Golam Rabbani Biplob. Cambodia's Secretary of State of the Information Ministry Chea Chanboribo attended the event on the concluding day.
“Oggatonama” was accorded more acclaims at the event and walked away with the “Best Script” and “Best Actor” awards. The 57th Asia Pacific Film Festival, which was arranged by Federation of Mission Producers in Asia Pacific saw five film submissions from Bangladesh. Other participating countries included India, Nepal, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Australia, Russia, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran and more. Cast members of “Oggatonama” included Mosharraf Karim, Nipun, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Fazlur Rahman Babu and more.
