ntv celebrating fifteenth anniversary

Fifteen years ago on this day, ntv began its journey that culminated into it being one of the most popular and leading satellite channels in Bangladesh, according to a press release. To commemorate the momentous occasion, ntv will have a daylong airing of special programmes.

Starting at 6:15am, a special musical programme featuring popular singer Samina Chowdhury titled “Kobita Porar Prohor” will be telecast. Produced by Jahangir Chowdhury, songs of the late singer and composer Lucky Akhand will be rendered by Samina Chowdhury. This will be followed by an array of musical and dance programmes, as well as a screening of “My Name is Khan” at 8:45am, starring Shakib Khan and Apu Biswas, and directed by Badiul Alam Khokon.

Among other programmes aired is tele-film “Mourani” at 2:35pm. Written by Anisul Hoque and directed by Abu Raihan Jewel, cast members include Riaz, Tisha, Moushumi Hamid and more. A single episode play titled “Bhalobashi Ajo” will be aired at 9:05pm, helmed by Nazmul Haq Bappi and scripted by Zafreen Sadia. Apurbo, Mehazabien, and Kazi Ujjol are in the lead roles.
