“Shelai Poribar” begins

TV serial on life of garments workers
New drama serial “Shelai Poribar”, based on garment workers' lives, began airing on Channel i yesterday. Rokeya Prachi has written and directed the serial, conceptualised by Syed AK Anwaruzzaman and produced by Anwara Begum, CEO of SM Style Limited (Smartex) --- on behalf of the company.

At an event held at a city hotel yesterday to mark the premiere of the show, Rokeya Prachi termed it a “dream project”.

The serial depicts the lives of marginalised RMG workers who toil hard to give an edge to the country's apparel sector in the global export market. It casts Dilara Zaman, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Ahmed Rubel, Ahsan Habib Nasim, Majnun Mizan, Dihan and others.

The serial airs at 5pm every Tuesday and Wednesday on Channel i.
