Stars recall their most memorable Eid

Ferdous, Actor
Eid has always been a joyous time for me, so it's hard to choose the best Eid memory. However, as an actor, the time I worked for the film “Hothat Brishti” was a turning point in my life, and the Eid that followed the film release was the most memorable one so far. My name and fame in both Bangladesh and Kolkata is due to “Hothat Brishti”. It changed my whole life I had many well-wishers encouraging me that year, and received a tremendous amount of love and support from people in my family and fans.

Kona, Singer
I've had many momentous Eid celebrations, and each year feels just as joyous as the last. However, the year when I first offered Qurbaani would have to be the most important. Every year we return to our ancestral roots in the village for Eid, and this year we shall be doing the same. However for the past several years I offer an additional Qurbaani at Dhaka with my own income and that gives me immense satisfaction.

Apurbo, Actor
I am always reminded of my most significant Eid memory during Eid ul Azha. For me, it was the year I was able to offer Qurbani with my own income after beginning work in the media. Before that, my father always undertook the responsibility. The amount of satisfaction I derived is unmatched. Additionally, I had begun my journey as an actor which also filled me with immense pride and joy.

Beauty, Singer
My favourite Eid moment was during the year 2005. That was the year I had earned a position in the top five spot in the Closeup 1 contest. Before that year, my singing was limited to the locality I had lived in, but the platform the contest had given me made me a household name in the country, and earned me lots of love and respect. Eid celebrations had begun soon after the contest was over, and so that year's celebration is still the most important in my life. Another significant event was the Eid ul Fitr celebrations that followed the birth of my child.

Badhon, Actor
My most memorable Eid experience would have to be the year I became a mother. Before that, I was a child who would look to her parents for anything she needed. After becoming a mother, I had the responsibility of providing for my daughter. The birth of my daughter was followed by Eid ul Fitr, and all I could think of was my child; giving her new clothes, and other pretty things. When I donned her in her new dress, I felt as though I was stepping towards a new journey, and that is why that shall be the most memorable year of Eid celebrations for me.
