Sushama Sarker is much-loved as a small screen actor who dabbles on silver screen projects from time to time. Her varied interests include TV hosting, and a nurtured passion for theatre acting. However, this month the artiste is keeping her focus narrow, and her schedule full with filming for drama series and Eid plays.

Sushama appears in a starring role in “Projapoti Prem”, directed by Mehedi Bin Ashraf and currently airing on Banglavision. “Lipstick”, another series featuring the popular actor is helmed by Shihab Shaheen and aired on Nagorik TV. Sushama is also the centre of attention in “Full HD”, directed by Aranya Anwar and airing on Maasranga TV.

“The series currently on air have been received positively by the audience, and it was just as enjoyable to work on their sets,” stated the actor.

Even with all these projects underway, the actor is still busy shooting for more drama series. She is slated to appear in two series directed by Sumon Anwar, titled “Shukhi Nirganj”, and “Idiots”.

Like many of her counterparts, the actor has started the hustle of filming for Eid ventures. She has currently wrapped up shooting for “Tanaporen”, a single episode play, helmed by Abu Hayat Mahmud. She has also completed filming for Shihab Shaheen's “Bandhan”, and “Skyman”.

Next week, the actor will be on the sets to work on “Jogot Shongshar”, another play to air during Eid ul Fitr.

Beside acting, Sushama is also seen to play the role of TV show host. She has been front and centre of the popular entertainment programme “Binodon Kharkhana” on Ekattor TV for quite some time.

“'Binodon Kharkhana' airs two episodes per month, and we have recently wrapped up filming for one episode,” she stated. “Actor Farooque will appear as our special guest in this segment.”
