“The vacation comes as a blessing”

Like everyone else, popular model and television host Sharmin Lucky has special plans for Eid. In her words:

“I usually spend the three days of Eid with my family and in-laws. It's important to spend time with my family members since I remain busy throughout the year and we cannot spend much time together,” said Sharmin.

“The Eid vacation comes as a blessing to us all. We arrange informal gatherings and make merry throughout the Eid days,” she added.

She also plans ahead every Eid and tries to see that her work schedule doesn't ruin her vacation.

“Every Eid, I usually go on an outing near Dhaka for at least half a day. This is very special for me since everybody needs some quality time. This year, I am planning to go to Kolkata. I think everyone needs a break from their busy schedule.”

On the other hand, Lucky has to do all the Eid shopping for her family. “I bought a panjabi for my husband as he wears my favourite panjabi every Eid. Also I am thrilled when he gifts me a sari or perfume. I buy gifts for my dear ones and in return I receive gifts from them.”

Sharmin Lucky will cook her favourite dishes on Eid day. She will spend time with her friends after the three days of Eid.
