The Khulna town protection dam, a vital defense against the erosion and tidal surges of the Bhairab and Rupsha rivers, is now in a critical state. Significant portions of the dam have already been lost to the river, putting thousands of businesses, homes, and lives in Khulna city at imminent risk.
