Rubaiat Habib from Bangladesh is one of the members of the ‘Character Animator’ team that won an Emmy last year, in the technology and engineering category. The fifth day of celebrations began with the theme, “Dhongshostupe Jiboner Gaan”, commemorating Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s determination to rebuild a war-torn country after independence. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the cultural event.

Under the Game and App project of the ICT Ministry, with support from BMIT Solution, the film was made by Prolancer Studio. The 2D animated film was made on the occasion of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary. It is expected to be released later this year.

‘Find Your Bangladesh’, an online competition organised by Finding Bangladesh and supported by The British Council Bangladesh, aimed to engage and mentor the youth, on their historical roots. This team based competition, asked each team to identify a historical site in Bangladesh that is being slowly lost with time. The teams set out to find creative ways to better promote, protect, and preserve the location, and in the process learn its related histories, mythologies, legends, and the socio-cultural importance of the site.
