Leader of the Opposition Raushan Ershad has been admitted to the Combined Military Hospital in the capital.

The 77-year-old chief patron of the Jatiya Party was taken to the hospital on Wednesday night, confirmed her Assistant Private Secretary Mamun Hasan.

She was suffering from dehydration and some other minor health complications, he said, adding that she was taken to the hospital around 9:00pm.

After her admission to the hospital, Raushan was tested negative for coronavirus.

Quoting doctors at the hospital, Mamun said Raushan was feeling well after her admission to the hospital.

She might need to stay at the hospital for one or two more days, Mamun added.
