One person was killed and five others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw on the Gaibandha-Saghata Road in Badiakhali today.

The deceased was identified as Dulal Chandra of Ramnather Bhita.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. The Saghata-bound passenger bus crashed into the CNG-run autorickshaw in Badiakhali's Battala area around 6:30 am today, said Gaibandha Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahfuzur Rahman.
Dulal died on the spot. The five injured, including women and children, were admitted to Gaibandha Hospital. From there, three seriously injured were shifted to Rangpur Medical College, said the OC.
Police have seized both the vehicles involved in the accident.
