11th Parliament session prorogued today

The 11th session of the 11th Parliament was prorogued today with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury reading out the prorogation order of the president around 12:10pm.
The 11th session had 12 sittings and began on January 18.
Earlier in the day, Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina delivered her speech at the concluding sitting of the session.
The opposition leader of the parliament could not attend the closing session as one of her personal staff members has been infected with Covid-19.
President Abdul Hamid was present at the Parliament and observed the proceedings from the President Box.
A total of 133 treasury and opposition bench lawmakers spoke for 25 hours and 25 minutes while delivering speech on the thanksgiving motion at the Parliament during the session. Besides, six bills were passed during the session.
