12 Bangladeshis held in Jhenaidah after illegally entering from India

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained 12 Bangladeshis today from a madrasa in Jhenaidah's Maheshpur upazila. The detainees entered Bangladesh illegally from India last night through the Matila border and took shelter in the madrasa, according to BGB.
The detainees are: Sazzad Ali Khandakar, Sazeda Khandakar, Rahat Ali Khandakar, Fatema Khatun, Morad Mollah, Ismat Ara, Maksudul Islam, Nur Mohammad, Nilufa Khatun, Shilpi Akter, Nazma Akter, and Rawshan Ali.
Md Nazrul Islam Khan, assistant director of BGB Maheshpur-58 Battalion, said a search operation was carried out after receiving information on some people entering Bangladesh from India illegally. Members of BGB then detained two men, five women, and five children from Jaluly Madinatul Ulum Dakhil Madrasa today. They are all from Kalia upazila of Narail district, our Jhenaidah correspondent reports.
BGB has handed the detainees over to Maheshpur Police Station and filed a case against them, Nazrul said.
