Fifteen police personnel were injured in an attack on a police camp by Hefajat-e Islam activists in Brahmanbaria’s Sarail upazila last night, police said.

Of them, five to seven are members of Armed Police Battalion (APBn), Sarail Police Station Inspector (investigation) Kabir Hossain confirmed.
Bullet injured Kausar Mia, Nurul Amin (35), Basir Mia (28) and Chadek Mia (35) were taken to the hospital, he said.
The attack was carried out from a procession brought out by Hefajat activists in the area yesterday afternoon at Aruail in the upazila, he said.
The official also said that police fired 40 rounds of rubber bullets and 15 teargas shells to bring the situation under control.
