2 Bangladeshi organisations stage exhibition in Paris on Liberation War atrocities

Two Bangladeshi organisations in Paris organised a poster exhibition near Eiffel Tower square on Wednesday to mark the 50th anniversary of the country's independence.
Bangladesh Hindu-Buddha Christian Oikya Parishad and Muktijuddher Chetona Songrokhkhon Parishad of France organised the exhibition that portrayed the atrocities committed by the Pakistani occupation forces during the 1971 Liberation War, says a press release.
The members of the organisations also formed a human chain there, calling upon the United Nations and international community to officially recognise the mass killings by the Pakistani army as genocide.
Chaired by Udayan Barua, president of the parishad's European chapter, the programme was also addressed among others by Swadesh Barua, president of the parishad's France chapter, Bangladeshi journalist Faisal Ahammed Deap, and several other Bangladeshi expatriates, the release said.
