They entered Bangladesh between 9am and 7pm, reports our Benapole correspondent, quoting Ahsan Kabir, officer-in-charge of Benapole immigration.

The 77 Bangladeshi passport holder returnees included the corpse of one person who had died in India, the OC said.

Sunil Das, one of the returnees, said he went to Chennai for treatment two months ago. There are still a lot of Bangladeshis taking treatment in Chennai, he said.

Pulak Kumar Mandal, upazila nirbahi officer of Sharsha, said a total of 477 people returned from India since April 6. "They, including those who returned yesterday, have been kept in 14-day institutionalised quarantine," he added.
