Dhaka-bound cargo flight diverted to Ctg; several flights delayed due to rough weather

A cargo flight, which was scheduled to land at Dhaka Airport, was diverted to Chittagong airport due to stormy weather with torrential rain this morning.
Due to gusty winds, several outbound flights at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport have been delayed by 45 minutes to one hour, sources at HSIA, said.
AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan, executive director of HSIA, told The Daily Star that the YG-9053 flight from Xi'an, China was scheduled to land at the Dhaka airport around 7:00am. Due to rough weather, the flight was diverted to Hazrat Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.
According to sources at HSIA, a flight of Air Arabia coming from United Arab Emirates' Sharjah landed safely in Dhaka at 9:00 am after hovering in the sky for about an hour due to the stormy weather.
A flight of Turkish Airlines scheduled to depart from Dhaka at 6:30am was delayed by one hour.
Besides, Biman Bangladesh Airlines flights from Dhaka to Saidpur and Dhaka to Chattogram were delayed by one hour.
Novoair flights to Chattogram and Rajshahi were delayed also by an hour.
