Drone and aerial shows, fireworks to mark golden jubilee of independence on March 26

The government will observe and celebrate the golden jubilee of the country's independence on March 26 this year with drone and aerial shows, and fireworks.

A proposal to this end was approved by a Cabinet committee on finance related aspects today.

Talking to journalists after the meeting, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said the government has planned to observe the milestone occasion with utmost respect, and engage the countrymen in the celebrations.

"The achievements of Bangladesh as a nation so far would be highlighted during the event," the minister said.

Replying to a query regarding the fund allocated for the celebrations and who would be organising the events, the minister said it could be said after a meeting of the committee on government's purchase next week.
