Finance minister proposes implementation of E-Judiciary

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today proposed implementation of E-Judiciary to bring greater dynamism in the country's judicial process.

"The country's overall justice system will be digitised under the E-Judiciary project," he said during the budget session today.

Every court in the country will be turned into an e-court, and the trial will be conducted through video conferencing, he said.

The minister said all the activities of the Supreme Court and the lower courts will be brought under automation and network.

Information on the current status of the cases pending in the lower courts, the date of hearing, and the full verdict will be published on the website regularly, he also said.
