Firefighting units are struggling to bring the fire under control, reports our Moulvibazar correspondent quoting Rezaul Karim, the divisional forest official.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Locals said a fire broke out at Lawachara Students' Dormitory at 12:00pm while a group of workers were working there.
On information, a firefighting unit from Kamalganj Fire Service rushed to the spot but they were facing difficulty in reaching the site due to no street in the forest, said Rezaul.
On top of that, there is also scarcity of water, he informed.
Forest Department is investigating to identify the origin of the fire, he added.
