Fire at scrap material shop in Dhaka's Bhatara under control

A fire that broke out at a scrap material shop in Dhaka's Bhatara area this afternoon was brought under control around 3:45pm.

Four firefighting units rushed to the spot immediately and brought the blaze under control that originated at the tin-shed shop around 3:00pm, said Anisur Rahman, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence control room.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.

There were no reports of casualties.
